PATIENT GUIDELINES FOR USE OF EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

To better serve our patients, this office has established an email address for some forms of communications. 
The turnaround time for routine patient communications is approximately 24-48 hrs.

Should you require urgent or immediate attention, this medium is not appropriate. 
When communicating from work, you should be aware that some companies consider email corporate property and your messages may be monitored.


When sending email, please put the subject of your message in the subject line so we can process it more efficiently.
And Include the patient name, date of birth, and telephone number in the body of the message.
 

    Email Communications Agreement

    Email communications are not to be used for emergencies or urgent situations.

    ​EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS are limited to administrative items like setting and changing appointments, billing matters and other non-clinical related issues. While Raintree Healthcare utilizes a HIPAA-compliant email provider, multiple aspects are outside the control of Raintree Healthcare (the security of your email provider’s server, the email service you use, and the networks emails are communicated through (e.g., secured private or public)). Consequently, the security and privacy of email exchanges cannot be guaranteed.

    Patient agrees that email communications with the Practice is offered as a convenience to Patient, and Patient agrees to not hold the Practice responsible for any expense, loss, or damage caused by, or resulting from: (i) a delay in Practice’s response to Patient, or any damage to Patient resulting from such delay, due to technical failures, including, but not limited to, technical failures attributable to the Practice’s internet service provider, power outages, failure of the Practice’s electronic messaging software, failure by Practice or the Patient to properly address email messages, failure of the Practice’s computers or computer network, or faulty telephone or cable data transmission; (ii) any interception of Patient’s or the Practice’s email communications by a third party; or (iii) Patient’s failure to comply with the guidelines regarding use of email communications set forth in this Agreement. Patient understands there is a risk in email communications of your confidentiality being breached by a third party, and agree to communicate electronically with Raintree Healthcare.

    ​YOU AGREE NOT TO USE EMAIL FOR: 
    If patient is a minor, parent or guardian must agree.
